Villanova Game

Game of the night in college hoops, according to CBS Sports. They have an interesting take on it too. The writer does seem to contradict himself over how important this game is.

Best game -- Villanova (-4.5) at St. John's; 9 ET, FS1: Both need a win, but St. John's probably needs it more. Villanova would like to get back into the win column, but St. John's looks to avoid a disastrous 0-3 Big East start. The Red Storm will have Rysheed Jordan back, meaning it won't have to play all of its starters 35 minutes again like it did against Butler. That -- along with Jordan's general scoring and athleticism -- is important for the Red Storm as they look to pull the upset. Generally though, Villanova's size probably will be an issue, as the size of Daniel Ochefu and Jayvaughn Pinkston could create foul issues for Steve Lavin's team. I think the Wildcats probably win, but the Red Storm will be fine in the future.

I'm guessing that today JDR will be given some minutes to try to match the bulk of Ochefu. We may see CJ is we are getting crushed inside. Balamou may get a few minutes, but only out of desperation.

I think we essentially will go with 7 guys today if things go well.

I think we only get about 1.5 or 2 points for MSG, though. It's not as big a swing as when we play at CA.

A ton of nova fans where I live. All arrogant, think it won't even be a game.

Ochefu will be a handful. We may need to run JDR and CO on the floor at the same time to help rebounding. For some reason, i see Darrun Hilliard being a real pest. Arcidiacono will likely do little for 35 min, then hit big shots with the game on the line. Everyone needs to be dialed in. Sir Dom has not been his normal self past 2 games.

just a hunch..with the 9 PM start and our 2 losses this game will be a dud in terms of atmosphere. check the available seats on ticketmaster to confirm, you can get pretty darn close to the action
