Villanova a Blue Blood

He was only 15 years old at the time. Involves girls, licking and arses.
And some homophobic comments.

Nova just plays right, sharing ball & defending. Their player development acumen is very hard to deny as well.

If there was Twitter when I was 15 my account would have involved the same things but with tits included.:p
Have to hand it to Nova. They ve escalated to elite stature. And what’s even better for them, they don’t have to worry about Wright jumping ship. A nice position to be in.
Wright got a nice bump in pay when they won 2 years ago, and I suspect he will get another bump again - maybe in the Danny Hurley range. When you consider UCONN is paying Hurley $3.5 mm, if Wright was money hungry could command 6 or 7, possibly more from the NBA. Wright has created something special at Villanova, with full support of fans, students, alumni, and adminsitration. There are things more important than money, and Wright has all of those things at Villanova and with his family.

For the greatest coaches it is never about the money. That comes naturally with their success. That success is usually only at one or two schools. Wooden, Coach K, Lou Carnesecca, Jim Boeheim, Jim Calhoun and now Jay Wright.
We are lucky to have him in the Big East.

What a great win over Michigan, a terrific example of high level team ball. The shot selection, hitting the open man, smart picks, and drives to the hoop perfectly executed even Gillespie.

No McD AAs, but team ball; hustling D, group rebounding, and stubborn determination. I think the longer/extra t.v. timeouts helped keep Donte fresh, but what a game he had; I guess his big games against us were not flukes.

Hats off to Nova and now Jay Wright has one more national championship than Jim Boeheim in a whole lot less number of years. Good for him. Classy guy who when they lost to us didn't cry over their injured missing players and gave us kudos instead. He pointed out we were without Lovett.

I wish the rest of the BE gave us a better showing and I sure hope and pray that we are in the same conversation as Villanova sooner rather than later.

Excellent ball movement and success at finding the open man, but there were also some great one on one moves and 3s made with an accelerated degree of difficulty. At least accelerated based on our standards. As Mullin has said many times, you can draw up the world's greatest play, but it's meaningless unless someone makes the shot. Villanova has more high level shot makers than any team in recent memory, if not ever. if Ponds goes for 9 points, we would have trouble beating anyone. Brunson goes for 9 points, and Nova dominates a really good Michigan team. I'm both envious and in awe of what Wright has accomplished.

I believe him, I've said a lot of things that I don't remember saying as well. I don't even remember typing this.

Nova starts 2 McD AAs. Obviously not one and dones but they are getting highly rated guys. Three more top 50 guys coming in next year including McD AA Quinerly at PG.

Alexander, my research says just Brunson was a McD AA, although I could be wrong since I didn't realize Brunson was one and said so in my post.

Obviously, V'Nova isn't stocked with McD AAs like duke and Kentucky.

Spellman is the other. They are recruiting players on the cusp of being HS AA. Guys who stay a lot longer than others. Nova recruits very similary to UNC. Obviously smaller sized but top 50 talent that stays on campus. Sprinkle in guys who buy into the system and you get a successful long term program.

Spellman wasn't a McDonald's AA, but he was still recognized as a top 20 player in the 2016 class.
