Missed fts have killed us year after year. But yes this is s young team making mistakes young teams make. What bothers me most is that Yakwe and Sima seem to have regressed.

Don't see any regression, and don't see why the Yakwe negativity. He is 18 and just started playing seriously 3 years ago. He is keeping his blocks in play and is altering other shots. He is banging down low with older, stronger men. Also thought Sima played well tonight. Owens is the one having problems with the better comp. The good teams have size and bulk. On the other hand, we go beyond lanky, and have moved right to skinny.

I am a broken record but you just don't learn to win overnight. We have seriously upgraded our talent but not to the extent where we can just out talent people. Just the way it is, like it or not. The team, the coaches, are obviously competitive but not where they need to be but you have to get to the hump before you can learn to get over it. And again, that goes for both coaches and players.You can't teach experience, you have to earn it.

This is what this team is. They played 3 decent teams well. Just not good enough to win. Still need 3 guys to improve or 3 better players to come in. Anyone disappointed it is their own fault.

15 would be great progress. We have to remember where we were last year. Eight wins and 1-17 in the league.

I was thinking 13 before the season. 15 going into this tournament. If they don't win tomorrow I'm back to 13.

Have to agree on Mussini's inability to defend at this level. However, he is here for quick offense, and his 2 straight 3's when we were down 11 really got us back in the game mentally. team picked it up after that.

What is disturbing is the way we have been outscored by large margins for 10-15 minute spans. Minny-up 13 and down double digits. Same with Mich. St, and same tonight. I'm talking 24 point swings in less than half a game of basketball 3 times in a row.

I'd like to know the plus minus when he is on the floor because when he can hit shots not only do we need that but he draws his guy to the perimeter freeing up our guys to drive to the basket with clearer lanes. Will see tomorrow but when we need offense I think the positives outweigh the negatives when our other guys aren't scoring

Not a good stat for basketball. Steve Kerr and John Paxson probably had great plus minus when they played with Jordan. You could be a scrub in with 4 good guys and have a good number w/o actually doing anything.

I agree about Mussini. I thought that in limited minutes he played the best D I've ever seen him play here. I absolutely agree he's been a very poor defender but I also see what mjmaherjr has seen over the last two games. Moving his feet and staying in front of his man for the first time.
