UCONN alleged NCAA violations

I agree with Beast. This won’t go to trial. If I were to bet this gets settled for 70 cents on the dollar right before court date

I hope Uconn gets stuck for the whole amount just like St. John's is stuck for Slice's full salary.
Then again. ........... St. John's should allege NCAA violations committed by Slice to wiggle out of the contract.
Didn't Slice shoot baskets with recruits in his ONE year at St. John's?
Didn't Slice buy Durand Johnson a slice of pizza at L&B Spumoni Gardens in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn on his official visit?
Didn't Slice supply Chris Obekpa with rolling paper?
Didn't Slice hide the gun Rysheed Jordan used in the attempted murder of a rival retard?

Did I read the Courant article correctly that Ollie shooting around a bit with a recruit on a visit was some sort of violation? That is an absurdly idiotic rule.
Very stupid rule. I was once reported to the NCAA because I was a grad assistant and was caught practicing against the team.
So you're the guy that cost us a national championship! ;)
Paying Hurley $3 mm per year while on the hook with Ollie for about that amount through 2021 should be the main charge.

Makes Slice payout seem small by comparison
Yeah but St. John's can't print money like UCONN so slice hurts more

At least we won’t have to worry about illegal practices during the summers

* It is alleged that Yukon coach Kevin Ollie paid a player’s mother $30,000.

See the below story from the Hartford Courant

“During a nearly six-hour interview with NCAA investigators and UConn attorneys, former associate head basketball coach Glen Miller made numerous allegations regarding his former boss, Kevin Ollie.

Many of the claims remain unsubstantiated by both the school and the NCAA and the university has not faced any penalties. By far the most serious of those unconfirmed allegations was a story Miller got from his wife about a $30,000 cash payment Ollie allegedly made to an unnamed player’s mother....... .

Wow, some nasty charges surfacing. Wonder if they’re real and if NCAA will act on them?
UCONN May face some sanctions if so.

Boy, Kevin Ollie seems to be taking a lot of incoming heat for the alleged violations at Uconn. Must be tough for him to take as a former Calhoun player, long term NBA career, several seasons as Assistant Coach under Jim C., and then winning a BE and NCAA Championship with Kemba Walker in his first year as Head Coach . UConn got away with a lot from the NCAA under Calhoun but, apparently the get out of Jail Card expired for Kevin . That, plus not Winning in the Lower echelon Conference that Uconn so richly deserved , made Ollie the perfect culprit . And , seemingly Hurley would not have taken the job if NCAA sanctions were going to be long lasting . Wonder if UCONN would ever petition for a return to the BE? On one hand, I would say No Way but, on another , they did have Elite status with their Championships . Still, I think they should be forever bound to SMU, Memphis , Tulane , etc . Only fitting .

Calhoun was coach when they won with Kemba Walker. Ollie won with Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatwright.
