“I knew it was coming out and we were aware of it,” Kyle Anderson, Sr., said of the article. “(UCLA) told us the article is coming out. They said they didn’t know what it was but it was coming out. They didn’t elaborate and to be honest, I wasn’t interested. Both Kyle and myself know what we’re looking for and what we wanted and didn’t want. The article doesn’t sway our opinion at all. We still feel as strong about UCLA as we did on Sept. 19.”
Sure says "I" a lot in there.
Good to know UCLA was what Kyle SR was looking for.
Actually uses "I" twice and "we, we're, us, our" 7 times. Since when is it a bad thing for a parent to be intimately involved in where their child goes to school? I wish KA went to SJU also but he didn't; it's time for many of you to move on.
How intimately involved were your parents in making your college decision? Sounds like he doesn't let his kid think for himself.
My parents were very involved as I think all should be; what, at 18 your parents said, "hey, not my concern, just figure it out and when you do send me your new address and the bill."
Damn, my parents must have been pretty silly to think I'd be able to do my own research and figure out where I'd want to go. And looking back, I'm royally pissed that my father didn't serve as my mouthpiece and try to live vicariously through me.
God bless you then; as for the mouthpiece comment it is so mature and insightful to be able to dissect a father-son relationship from one comment to a reporter that I am sure your father was very happy with your community college choice after all that research.
