I would love to have a discussion about this and I can cite some stats that would probably open some eyes, but (zips lips). Fun, correlation does not prove causation, however that does not mean there is no link. By your logic, nothing can ever be correlated or linked and we live in a totally random world where nothing is ever related to each other. There are these things called predictor variables i.e. growing up being raised by a single mother. That is one of the biggest predictors for criminality. By the way the socioeconomics as a predictor of criminality is beaten to death false. Immigrants came over here from Europe and worked their butts off, provided for their family, and were poor but never used it as an excuse to go murder or assault someone. If lower SES areas were so dangerous, then rural West Virginia, Alabama, Texas, North Dakota, etc. would all be flooded with criminals. The truth is, the crime is in the major cities, not in the rural areas where tons of poor people live. It's just the opposite in fact. Committing crime makes you poor (legal fees, bail money, losing jobs, etc). Being poor doesn't make you a criminal.
I appreciate the few of you brave enough to even back me a little. I'm not insulting anyone and I'm not calling anyone names. Notice I don't even cite race. Others put it in my mouth. What does that say about them?
So...uh...you're saying your not racist?
Depends...what's your definition? That word means nothing like what it once did.
