Owens has looked good. I've gotta give him credit.


Still not sure there's much of a difference btw him and Sima, talent-wise. But for now he's earned extra pt if he can stay out of foul trouble.
 
We might have something here with Owens if he continues to develop and gains another 10 - 15 lbs this offseason.

Why does Owens get ball at top of key so often?

So, I don't like it either.
But Calipari regularly does it too, and I've heard him say he does it bc it moves the big guarding your center away from the rim.
In theory, opening driving lanes for your guards and wings.

Problem is ... Calipari has Briscoe, John Wall, MKG, Harrisons etc driving to the rim. We're setting up along the perimeter. So it makes less sense for us.
 
Only a freshman I know, but Richard is very slow & lumbering. Yet he's not yet strong enough yet to post up or do damage on interior. He'll get there in a year or so.
