Online site saying he Kante gave a verbal to that Florida college...oh well...we keep onward...no other choice

General, I don't think you have the right name. You are going to cause some heart attacks on the battlefield over this one.

1.Oops when
I get a work break I'll check
As I said hope I'm wrong
Hope I get the correct battlefield

2.And as to a post to the effect CM is going into his third year so no more " excuses" I would reflect he was hired April 2015 so he has just begun his 3rd year and I would suggest rather than "excuses" these are the realities of the program circa April 2015...

Oh well let's just recruit and win = an area of agreement I think

247Sports lists him as still uncommitted
I'll check a bit more

Relief LJSA no heart attacks necessary
Yetna not kante to USF
Getting my names mixed
" my bad"

Carnac you sure Scekic isn't coming? He's out shopping for more red today:

The St. John's basketball staff 25 year excuse, "the right guy wasn't out there". There are 50 states, Europe and elsewhere and we can't find one big?! I think we all get we are not getting a 4/5 star but this idea that there was no one out there is cover for people not getting it done. Yes, this is getting old and tired. Also. to those who want to say "well who did you want" or "who was out there" that is bs. St. John's pays the staff quite well to get out there and find those players. Not our job. Many here have loyally supported this program but really isn't it time for some results?

I think Mr. Franklin said it best:

Is the General really anyone's go to guy for recruiting info? Maybe if the Confederate or Union Army is still recruiting. ;) :)

Give it a rest. Many complaining posters support this team from their couch. They're also the first ones to kill an overmatched freshmen from their keyboard during his first game.

Exactly. The same people that complain about not going after the 2 and 3 stars are the same people complaining they aren't ready from day 1 of freshman year.

Maybe this wouldn't be an issue had we not lost 4 three star players after this season. The bench just went poof. 6'11, 6'9, 6'8 and 6'6 players need to be replaced we just added a 6'2 guard who needs to sit.
Staff is now trying to plug holes that are not critical positions except for a serviceable player 6'8 + who can rebound and defend. They have know about replacing Sima and Brown for months now so there was a disconnect somewhere in the process. Still hopeful but doubtful.

The production needs to be replaced. Why don't you list their stats and we'll see what we are dealing with? And should you really be listing a guy who left midseason?

Simon > Ellison

Clark > Darien

The piece that hasn't been replaced is still Sima. That is a problem. If anyone could even replace his 7.3 ppg and 5.7 rpg from his frosh year that would be great.

Why wouldn't I list him? His position (natural 5) is the critical missing piece of the lineup.
We've been discussing needing a BIG for weeks now.
Pay attention! :) ;)

Well towards the end of the war they instituted a draft. That would insure we get someone.

You bring up their heights, but not their production on the court. Sima was decent for a big but was just as skinny as TO and didn't improve from year one to year two. RF did nothing in his only year. Williams was a solid role player but often injured and missing time. And 6'6" is Ellison? You mean the guard that would be losing his playing time to Simon?

We're not Kentucky kid!
We need to develop 4 year players who can contribute as upperclassmen. Two of those players started at one point and even though none were starter material you can't waste two years of coaching players and expect a last minute Zero star player addition to come in and contribute more than those bench players immediately. Unfortunately you can't force kids to be patient and work hard at developing their skills and bodies. Right now, except for Owens, we have become a very small team. Especially on the depth chart. Hopefully Mullin and staff will have a strategy for playing with a big hole in the middle.

The team was more productive post Sima.

Every top kid stayed.

An average of 2 plus transfers in D 1. The staff kept their top seven intact.

Many rebuilds don't produce consistent winning seasons till year four. Martin just made a good run in year five. We all know Wright needed three plus years. Recruits did not run from these programs when they lost early.

This staff has a shot moving over 500 in year three.

And we're whining because 4 points a game Williams wanted to go free agent like 700 other D1 kids.
