John Hugley from Pitt just entered. think he got hurt this season. Strange seeing guys from teams still playing entering (believe a TCU guy entered the other day).

who did he pay off to be named All Frosh team? or did he have George Santos do his write up for portal?
I may jinx it but it is pretty amazing that SJU has no one, at least no one announced, in the Portal yet. I mean everyone has or is going to have transfers in the Portal at some point. But especially with the Coaching Change you would think they would have 2 or 3 in there now.

It makes sense for a player to delay a decision until they know who our head coach is going to be and who will be on his staff. They have plenty of time to make a decision.
That hasn't sopped Georgetown or ND players from entering the portal.
Or countless others from schools who have dismissed their coaches. And I understand that Zach tweeted that players were asked to hold off until coach is named but that would be a courtesy, there is nothing anymore to stop a player from entering since they no longer need the permission of the school to transfer.
Almost makes you think they know who their next coach is going to be....

Exactly, they may not want to transfer if it is in fact Pitino and they have a chance to play for a hall of fame coach with a history of getting players to the next level.

This is the reason Van Macon was named interim. To keep the chaos at bay while things get sorted out. Much of the roster (along with their family members) LOVE Van. It is incredibly commendable that the team is still "in tact" all things considered.
I do think it'll change soon, but as of this moment, those are my thoughts.

Yes, and, maybe they lose their marketing money. which is what i asked on the other thread of what happens to their 'contract' if they enter the portal.
there's extra schilling by the players this week. so it's obvious they're still getting paid.
Again guys can enter the Portal and change their mind. I actually am not concerned if they do have players enter it, I don't necessarily consider that chaos since every team, even really good teams will have players transfer it is inevitable.
I just found it odd.
No matter Pitino will get good players thru Portal and Prep ranks regardless.
