NC, I agree with you. He needs the right system and coaching. He has skills but he has to let the game come to him. Too much forcing and hurrying. Some kids get it. Others just keep running through the red lights. All the tools are there.I think the right Coach can reach him. Our “style” under Anderson accepted the loose play. Clearly that didn’t work.

I do think he is talented. I do not think he wants to play in a structured system or change his game. We will soon see, but I can’t say I’m unhappy missing that experiment.
I'm surprised but not surprised that keita just entered the portal. That means sju has a good feeling on some of the recruits possibly committing similar to what self did to open up another scholarship. I was intrigued to how Rick would develop keita. I guess Rick sees what he now has an upgrade over keita. Good look kid thanks for being a johnnie

Doesn’t he fit the bill for the backup big man we’re looking for? Seems like he could probably give us 15 minutes off the bench backing up the 4 or the 5. Obviously he’s small to play the 5 but not uncommon to go small ball these days.

4 Star Recruit now seemingly still searching for a home . Doesn’t seem he’s been actively pursued by many of the usual pursuers .
I didn’t follow his last season playing . Is it possible he didn’t have a great year and his stock dropped ?
Obviously , Rick and staff didn’t spend any time lamenting his departure .

Exactly, I got no problem someone trying to make coin. Whatever, tactics his team are going about looks like it’s turning off a lot of other coaches. He should go play at Sacred Heart, I’m sure he could get a sponsorship from some business in Bridgeport and pound out sororostitutes from Central NJ
I agree. no word on any place actively pursuing him. My guess is he wants a hell of a lot of NIL money and/or has an attitude issue. The later fits in well with why Anderson recruited him. And Gardner has been avail for a while even wusu and posh found homes already . Trust in Rick

Gardner was quoted when asked why he choose Sju “Just being in New York City is going to open me up to so many things on and off the court. There are a lot of good NIL opportunities there. I feel like the way I play, with all the dunks and things like that, I’ll be able to attract a lot of situations”. Reading back he even blatantly even said NIL opportunities and dunks. Gives me impression is he is a look at me kid who wants a lot of money
