The Official 2014 Big East Tournament Thread

Xavier 1 point favorite over Marquette.
Find that surprising.
Why? X missing Stainbrook to match up with Garner and teams only finished one game apart in BE conference play!

Just heard on the radio that there are thousands if unsold seats. If this is the case why are tix prices so high on stubhub?

Because tickets are so expensive and people are looking to limit their loss. If you are buying tickets on Stub Hub and think St. John's is making it to the finals, that is the cheapest game. I think there will be a lot of Nova fans there tomorrow as their fans are really excited about being ranked #3.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Stubhub now regulate the prices that can be charged on there? I know a seller used to be able to charge whatever they wanted, but since Stubhub started partnerhip with MLB you could see a floor to the prices that could be charged. Is this true?

Don't think that's valid here.
Only change I know if is prices are shown all in now. No surprises at checkout.

My Stub Hub tix are originally $61.50 and I got them for $65. I don't think that is too high.

No what I meant was, I was under the impression someone could previously list a $60 face value ticket for $5, but now StubHub regulates the thing so you can't go below a certain point on how low you list the price?

I bought 2 tickets today for $60 each on ticketmaster (after taxes and service fees) for 200s level. Stubhub and vividseats were more like $70 and higher (after fees) for similar seats and those were in the 400s.

Just checked out tickets for Saturday night out of curiosity and you're looking at spending $130 a piece for 400 level and that was on ticketmaster!

If there are truly thousands of unsold tickets, the BE needs to lower prices. I would be there every night if I didn't have to drop a car loan payment on 400 level seats. I have a feeling there are a lot of fans like me who feel the same way and will be watching most of the games in their living rooms.

Especially now a days with 55 inch screens and HD. A lot different than the TV's in the mid 80's.

They had cool Creighton NYC shirts made up for it. I'm too lazy to look for it but I thought it was nice.

We really need to show them who owns Big East basketball. I sure hope we get a chance to do that.

Think thats just with MLB teams that have Stubhub alliances.
