Look who the article is quoting:
"Fraschilla projects it to be only "a top seven or eight league, even a top six" going forward."

First, FF is a POS mouthpiece for ESPN. Jay Bilas was a co-conspirator with that rat faced Duke coach to poach the Big East and now they want to pour gasoline on the fire.
Fraschilla knows squat Shlitz about "going forward". Even less so than his own basketball career having been fired at his last two jobs. Top 7 or 8??? Who would be 7th? The A10? The Big East will be a top 5 conference if they play their cards right and bring in 2 of the top 3 teams in the A10 like SL, VCU or Dayton. Poof goes the A10 then in the power equations. To be a top 5 or 6 basketball conference out of 32 conferences is pretty damn good! Look at the ACC this year with 15 teams where only 5 may make the NCAA. The SEC sucks. Going forward is anybody's guess but as long as you get players the competitiveness will be there.

I agree adding two teams will help solidify BE. St. Louis is one for sure IMO. Also believe this is a foundational year for the BE and there is no reason BE can't be a top 5 conference.

I was there about 2:30 since the tweet implies that you needed to get there by 5 not after 5...all that was there was blue curtains and a countdown clock for 5 :) I'll be there as well

6-1 odds that we win the entire tournament. Tempted to jump on that.

Seems too short.

You happen to see Gtown's odds? STJ vs Gtown final! The old big east is back!!!

It would be great to see Providence and St. John's play Gonzaga and BYU right now. I think the Big East would win that two nothing.

I stopped by. They had a basketball court set up in Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central, and had former players from each of the times in the Big East come out. From memory, Felipe Lopez, Terry Dehere, Jim McIlvane, David Wingate, Tyrone Hill, Otis Thorpe, and a bunch of others.

We played Gonzaga in 2011 and the outcome wasn't so favorable....

Not the same Gonzaga team we played in 2011.

Not the same Gonzaga team we played in 2011.

And still think we would've won that game had we not lost DJ in the BE Tourney...
