Zero in-game adjustments. Somewhere around 2-15 from three you need to change approach
Oh stop. They turned it over on the break twice in a row and then missed 3 after 3 after 3 in which most were open if not wide open.

NC St made 3-4 shots right at the end of the shot clock after running it down.

NC St has won 8 straight games in which 7 of them they were the underdog. Did those teams not make adjustments...?

I never will understand LMF’s love of Shaka 🤷‍♂️

Give NC State credit for forcing Kolek to his right more than most do, cutting the head off the snake, guarding the 3 point line, and hitting a whole bunch of clutch shots. Other than the last part, the rest is the mark of a well coached team.

On the other side of the ledger, continuing to chuck up 3s when you aren't making them but are scoring effectively in the paint may not have been the wisest decision.

But at least Shaka made the Sweet 16 with this top 10 team, that's two more games than he usually wins in the tournament.

I will now have Mrs LMF tie my thumbs back together.

Score one for the trust but verify concept.

I’m not anti-Smart. In fact I’m pro-Smart. I was only observing that they ran the same offense for 40 minutes when it was clear after 10 that it wasn’t working.

It has nothing to do with Smart. This trope gets thrown around all the time.

Matt Painter has been one of the most successful coaches in recent memory. He has also been knocked out by double digit seeds the last two years including by a 16 as a 1 last year. And it is the same thing, "He can't make adjustments..."

It is so tiresome...

I thought Bruce Pearl made a great point. As long as Marquette could not make shots NC St was going to slow the tempo down. Marquette could not pick up tempo and play downhill. And Marquette could not turn them over.

Another great point, can you imagine if NC St and Duke meet to go to the Final Four....Raleigh-Durham....?

Strange - Scheyer's face is less punchable these days.

But Houston is still gonna come out and punch you in the face. Let's see if the fancy boys from Durham know what to do with that.
