The NCAA Tournament Thread

Oakland up 5 on Kentucky, under 8 media timeout. Some guy off the Grizzles bench has 9 threes.

This Ky - Oak game is similar to the Princeton-Mich Holiday Festival semi final game prior to the Mich-SJU final in 1964. Princeton looked like a JV team compared to Mich but Bradley was unstoppable like Gohilke.
Bradley shot the ball so well getting picks from his teammates he demoralized Mich. And then after scoring 39 I think he fouled out with about four minutes to go and Mich got such a lift when he went out they recovered and Princeton collapsed blowing a nine point lead
Bradleys performance was the greatest I ever witnessed . I hope Oakland can hang on.

Terrible play call by Kentucky out of the time out. Terrible coaching by Cal.

They sure are. My interactions with them in and around Charleston and last March at Barclay's were all very positive. Happy for the A10. Only 2 bids and winning both as a 7 and 11 seed is some ballin. I watch a lot of A10 ball when I'm not watching BE and ACC.
A10 is traditionally a multi bid league. Lots of parity in it this year.

Winner: uconn
1st one seed eliminated: purdue
Sleeper pick: kentucky
10 seed or lower in the elite 8: none
Biggest disappointment from a blue blood: Kansas squeak by Stamford only to lose to the zags or mcneese state.
Popular upset pick that ain’t gonna happen: Oregon will lose to S. CAROLINA
Popular upset pick that is going to happen: Grand Canyon beats saint mary (also UAB beats SDSt).
Highest seed in the final 4: a three seed
What idiot said this about Kentucky?

Watching Kentucky going down early in the tournament is starting to be a joyful pleasure that I can expect. Love that they lost to a 14 seed. I love that they lost period!

Congratulations to Oakland. Bye Bye Kentucky (and maybe Calipari).
