Thanks Brady

Wish him nothing but the best. I know Notre Dame was in on him out of HS, wouldn't be surprised if he ends up there

Agree 100 percent . .

Smart Academically . Can go anywhere . Back to W Coast could mean a lot of places

Stanford , St Mary’s , Gonzaga or , wherever .
Hope he gets a chance to play and rebounds from his injuries .

Brady a class act all the way. Supporting his teammates with energy despite being out most of the season. In terms of scheme fit, this is more understanding than just a crazy NIL jump. These days Rick has his style of play based on the conference we are in/his system now and someone like Brady can be an immediate starter or at least close to getting serious minutes soon at a Gonzaga type spot. Wish him the best, will be pulling for him.

And like the others said would be funny if he was back in a couple years with this portal stuff.

I could see Brady playing for Lavin at USD.
For his sake, I hope you're wrong. Lavin has killed more dreams than sleep apnea and caffeine combined.

And fwiw, I would apply 99% of the comments in this thread to RJ too.
"Sad to see him go", "great example for the university", "class act" etc etc.
Only difference is one got a T for his shooter mcgavin move and the other was embraced for it.

Hate that Brady and RJ won’t be back next season. As Beast said in another thread, college ball has lost the continuity that allows for fans to be connected to the “kids” and the programs. We’ve gone from punishing programs who gave out extra sandwiches or phone cards to call home to guys being millionaire free agents in what feels like the blink of an eye.
Of course, our rebirth as a basketball power could not have happened without free agency and big NIL money, but for everything gained there’s something lost.
We had great kids this year, high character guys and easy to root for, and Brady and RJ were among the best of them.
Good luck, Brady, sorry you’re moving on, but I expect you’ll do great things on the court in your next three years.

So sorry to see Brady leave. Great kid and teammate. You need "Brady's" on your team. Selfless and always supported his teammates and school no matter what. In this me-first world now, he is unique. Best of luck Brady ..... you will do big things in life.

Can someone post the good parts of the Newsday article
He did say that Rick wanted him to stay, which I'm happy to hear. What's not to like about this kid in all ways.

It sounds like it was a very difficult decision for him, and he wasn't being pushed out. This the kind of kid that crushes it at a Creighton, maybe even a Duke.

Not sure if full article was posted. Great quotes from Brady.

If you believe Rick, sounds like he has 20 minutes that opened up.

“When I talked to Coach Pitino, he wanted me back,” Dunlap told Newsday in a phone interview. “I wanted to be back. [Pitino] said I was going to play a lot — playing a lot is like 20 minutes a game — and I liked that . . . But it’s about more than just playing time. It’s about the style of play and how I fit.

“I’ve gotten better at creating my own shot like they do, but me and my family thought going to a place that better suits my game and my skills will help me flourish more.”

He called Monday “a very sad day.”

“I love Coach Pitino and I love the staff and everybody here, the culture here, everything about this place,'' Dunlap said. "I love it all . . . I just wanted a place where I knew for sure my style of play fit better.”
