St. John's-Cincy Game II Game Thread

For this team to win they have to almost play flawless basketball, and tonite is not one of those nights. Lavin really needs to bring in shooters and guys that can hit the class, dominated tonite on the boards. take away 2nd chance points and it is a close game.

Most folks know what is needed for this team going forward. If those kids doesn't matriculate in April, then we can start to get concerned. Do not get infected by the "characters," cavalier.

how is it baiting? None of these kids outside of harrison look like they give a damn out there. They are sulking their heads and just standing around. With the track record we're building, would anyone be surprised if another kid transferred?

you are correct probably someone will transfer next week. Harkless and the rest really don't give a damn, they have better things to do tonight. Thanks for the insight.

I wonder if losing Stith is affecting them tonight.

 Saturday against SYR was demoralizing for these kids. Hell, I was in the Garden with my son, my alum buddy and his son and we walked out feeling punished for attending the game by the worst fans that I have ever encountered. What kind of adult yells at young kids (8 & 11 years old) for rooting for their team. Shame on the Syracuse fans!!!!! SJU team has tremendous talent. We had bad luck this year with Coach Lavin being sick. We'll be back! Have fun in the ACC as NC and Duke pound you into the dirt! :furious:
 
 This game is painful to watch..... we are just not even competitive at all. No D, no O, no boards ... what gives? Oh I forgot, they are freshman..... with Sophomore minutes.

If losing by 25 at home to cincy is the result of these kids "trying" then we're in worst shape than I thought.
 
 This game was a particularly horrible one and a letdown. Terrible play. Shouldn't have been run out by Cincy...
 
 Here's all you need to know -- Jamal White scored as many points as Harkless, Achiuwa and Pointer.
 
Horrific, horrific game.......... if you consider that a home court advantage is worth 10 points and the fact that we beat Cinci by 2 at their home, thats a 32 point turn around......and this team is getting better??????? No matter how avid a fan you are, you have to admit that these kids just GAVE UP and have regressed PERIOD!!! Maybe there are better times on the horizon but there is no positive spin you can put on this debacle.
