St. John's........ Big East Champions

A lot of so called experts feel that ECU barely deserved to even get in the field. They feel because there is an ECU administrator on the selection committee that they got in. Also to note they mentioned the same theory when it came to STJ last year.

So why are they seeded ahead of us? Not that it really makes any difference.

Exactly the point. These people were saying they were maybe the last deserving team so somewhere in the 4 range, maybe a 3 depending on some lower level conference auto qualifiers. Hopefully it bodes well for us and a date with UNC.

ECU may have gotten a #2 seed based on an RPI of 32. I think we have a great chance to beat them.

I am going down for the weekend. The atmosphere at a regional is great and it is alot of fun. I will post some updates.

Incidentally, St. John's won the first BE Championship Tournament in 1985.
 
 I got the Big East Champs shirt already! Proud of this baseball team...we are known as a basketball school, but people forget our lax, baseball, women's baseball, fencing (lol) teams are also very good. We are easily one of the top well rounded Big East schools in all overall sports.

Just got my shirt yesterday. Agree that this team is one to be very proud of!
