Soriano and St. John’s Big Men

Had to revive this thread from a couple of months ago to remind some of you guys that we were talking about Joel in the same breath as the best big men who ever wore the St. John's uniform. And to also remind you that we are not a talented enough team to just cast Joel aside for a more talented big man. Zuby has given us some nice minutes this season, but he is not going to move the needle on the remainder of the season the way a revitalized Joel is capable of.

Opened this thread up thinking it was new- and saw Joel ranked 1... lol... wow how things change quickly

Agree 100%. Soriano at his best is borderline draft pic. Zuby isnt in that league at his best and turns the ball over a lot even on good days. Zuby cannot post up but can actually take it to the hoop. Zuby can block shots but soriano at his best is a better on ball defender. Zuby better on perimeter defense, Soriano is a liability 20 feet out.

Maybe its time for rick to try twin towers.

I recall Rick playing Zuby and Traore at the same time a number of times, which baffled me, but I don't recall him ever playing Zuby and Joel at the same time, which baffled me even more.

Bet there’s even more things that you find baffling, maybe even confounding if not downright puzzling. 😉
