I think St. John’s fans are trying to connect the dots because Mike A tweeted right around when Wesley Cardet said he was announcing his decision. 

but it could just be a coincidence. Hope it’s not 
 
I just confirmed with a very reliable source of mine here in South Florida that St johns beat out illinoins for Wesley Cardett.

If true, this is a huge get.  A team breakdown kid who is fantastic.

Hes teammates with the Bewley brothers too

I know nothing about this smoke.
But I do know that Cardet was mentioned a long time ago.  Maybe around the time CMA was hired?

Theres definately one in the recruiting section.  I live in South Florida and have heard about this kid for years.  If its true, this is the best recruit Mike A has gotten so far.  This kid is really good.  4 star.

He played at a really good high school down in here is south florida but this last year he transferred to one of those prep school.

I have heard about this kid for years.  This is a huge get!

I think so.  My source's son spent some time with Cardett on Team Breakdown and he said he heard st johns.  And w/ coach mikes tweet and cardett announcing any minute, it lines up.
 
I have no sources to speak of, but would still think this is likely Soriano - or possibly Greg leaving the portal and returning.

I don't even think we're recruiting Cardet Jr. anymore.
 
The weird thing with Cardet is he said noon.  Its past noon.
If you google his name there are articles from SI saying he committed to Samford.  Even a blog he wrote. 
But the links are broken.
Odd a kid rated like him would commit there based on previous schools interested but nothing surprises me anymore with college commitments
