SJU Portal Targets

I know we are supposed to trust the staff and we got Kadary late in the portal last year but it seems we had a few top PG targets that seem to not be coming here. Hopkins and Sanon don’t mean much without someone to get them the ball and I will always stand by my take that Kadary was our best player last year. All the hype and NIL and it seems we are failing on the PG (the most important position in college ball) front. Hopefully there is someone else out there we aren’t aware of.

I regret my post I do trust the staff and as I noted in my post we got Kadary and Smith late. It seems with regard to PGs this years portal class will be light and I was under the assumption we already had lots of our needs known and ready to be filled. Having said that I know the staff won’t allow this team to flounder without a stud PG so I will trust they get it done, but I will struggle with the patience part! I also don’t want a PG just to get one. I didn’t for example tbink Cadaeu made sense or think Demary should be a lead guard in our system.

From what I've read about Lee in just the past 24 hours (won't pretend like I had any clue who he was prior to that) the bright lights of NYC sound perfect for his personality/game.

Lee with Zuby, Hopkins and Sanon would be insane! I think he would love to shine in a packed Garden playing for a hall of fame coach! Duke obviously a tough one to beat out but not impossible anymore.

He's good. He still put up good numbers this past year even though the team wasn't as good as year before but he ran the show both years.

I watched the championship game, kid is good.

Ok been holding out here( except to one poster on dm, appreciate you keeping in quite) ... this is my guy so i'll say what I can for now.
This kid is a player. I mean a legit player on ANY level. He's an ELITE passer, absolutly is a more than athletic enough to play at this level, can shoot the hell out of the ball. He has a ton of swag, is fearless and you guys will LOVE watching him. Don't kid yourself on him, he's for real. After the Rutgers game Pickell told me kid was a 1st team all B-10 talent and an nba player.
Drawbacks..at times he has too much swag and can force shots..i believe that was out of necessity. He also needs work on defender thr straight drive but that can be fixed.
He should be a top 10-20portal guy.
As of now I can't talk about college interest but im SURE SJ will be interested. He will test the NBA like last yr but my guess is he's a mid-late 2nd rd grade and will be back

If anyone can help him with his defense it's Rick. Of course everyone already knows that.

The lead guard will reveal themselves fellas. Truthfully I’m hoping we can land a Watkins-type player in the front court. This team has a ton of talent as is, we need some junkyard dogs too!

This fanbase reminds me of my kids. We go to Target and get a few toys, the next day they expect another Target run. We just landed Sanon and Hopkins and people are freaking out about Silas Demary and some other guys I never heard of until 2 weeks ago!
