Last post on this...SO much wrong reporting. SO SO much. From he's getting an economic degree(yes..he can always go back) so it has ti be an "elite" academic institution to some schools thinking they are in lead. He has a list of things he's looking for and kid has his priorities straight so he will take meetings( publicly known or not) with a few schools and decide..He has a smallish list and I can tell you nobody is in the "lead"
One more post, hah. When do you expect him to make a decision?

I am sure you, SJU79#, understand better than anyone what a New York media frenzy and a sold-out MSG can do for a kid who's got the right stuff. That can't happen in Durham. It may not help him with his NBA prospects, but it wouldn't hurt, and it could be the ride of a lifetime. Just ask any member of last year's team. Remember, if you can make it here...

Any ideas if we cant land Lee? I have hard time believing we cant lure a PG here given the amount of talent on this team already

I don't know but thankfully we'll know in 18 days exactly who's in the portal and what potential pivots there are. Tons of different ways to construct a roster.
Rick won't waste a year of his coaching + Zuby's senior year, on a subpar primary ball handler that can't get us to a third weekend

I know we are supposed to trust the staff and we got Kadary late in the portal last year but it seems we had a few top PG targets that seem to not be coming here. Hopkins and Sanon don’t mean much without someone to get them the ball and I will always stand by my take that Kadary was our best player last year. All the hype and NIL and it seems we are failing on the PG (the most important position in college ball) front. Hopefully there is someone else out there we aren’t aware of.
We had two Ivys upgrade from mediocre academic schools last year to st john's. Ledlum and Dingle can be references on handling the schoolwork.

Stars are entering the portal every day. Standout Princeton PG just entered this morning. We are in the mix. There will be others. This is far from over. Saying we’re failing at this juncture is shortsighted

"failing"? Demary wasnt a great fit bc hes more of combo guard. Lee entered portal like an HOUR ago. We never wanted Cadeau. How are we failing? It's April 4!

I assume if we pay a kid enough he'd be willing to sit on the bench.
But I imagine paying Njie to sit is cheaper than paying for a backup PG from a power conference.

Zero concerns, plenty of time. Every day new players entering the portal. Already landed two studs pretty quick, no doubt we have more things to get excited about in the coming weeks.
Sju79 noted Lee will have his suitors, but a small list. Of course it will likely have elites on it imo. Hopefully we are in the conversation. As an aside, I believe Matt & Rick have a good sense of the utility of having backup options, not their first rodeo. They had a pretty good portal haul so far.
This board has learned their lesson from last year. Many haven't. lol

Just chill folks. This will be resolved. Just don't know the next move on the chess board but that next move will be a positive one. Have Vince's 2 buddies on deck. Matt not sleeping until PG resolved
