Depth yeah but 23 isn’t ‘not a lot’ IMO. See the other big man transfer Paultz posted from Illinois. He was super talented and productive getting less than 20 minutes.

Solid player but not too much of a shooter. Decent percentage on low volume - 23 made 3s in 31 games, 12 of those made 3s in his last 7 games. Good slasher that gets to the line a ton and made over 80% when there. Will pitch in on the defensive glass. Solid piece, especially if he would be a ~20-22 min per game guyWorth keeping an eye on perhaps, rebounds well & defends. A small version of Scott imo.

My concern as well. Very coordinated and balanced kid, so he won’t be too out of place switching on guards. But that means we are 6’8 and 6’6 at the 4 and 5 and not a lot of length.
We will need some length and switchability the bench.
Damn I never looked at Hopkins as 6’6 I thought he was taller than that. I do think he’s more of a “4” than Scott or Luis were.
Zach today said Hopkins, 2 guards and a wing. Id expect more than that, but if not then you’d have to imagine all our front court pieces are returning.

For the better part of three decades of mediocre basketball, we either were not involved with the best players or else
were almost “begging” them to consider us. Now we are a destination and it seems at times have the luxury of choosing between several positive options.

Curtis Johnson was more of an off the dribble guy than Scott.
Seems tons of forwards are listed as guards for some reason, even heard Zuby referred to as a guard somewhere.
He had the tuna special at “Chez Marillac Hall” so it got off to a slow start.
