Now I won't call out a specific poster bc I have no idea who this person is...but if you DM me and I give you inside information and you then post that....thats not ok by me. I AM NOT AN INSIDER. I don't spread rumors or click bait....I am a CBB junkie who is just fortunate enough to have been blessed to live in the game. I am a fan like all of you.Nothing more. I come on here bc 99% of you are so kind and supportive of your school and the kids who play here. But when a select few send or post nasty things I wonder what joy that brings anyone? This is supposed to be a break from the stress of life... so I am asking a select few please don't ...I really enjoy sharing with you guys but pls leave the insults off my name

Whoever rips people on discord where they’re not there to defend themselves is despicable. I look forward to your updates and your info every day. Really appreciate having someone with some connections to these kids giving us some insight!

On behalf of all die hard fans, we can't thank you enough for sharing your incites with us. Sorry you had to deal with that. Sadly I've experienced similar things on other Cane forums.
 
SJU79 very sorry to hear that that is a disgrace. You don’t have to do what you do and people like me greatly appreciate it and I get excited like a kid in a candy store when I see you posted hoping it’s good news for my Johnnie’s! I hope these idiots do not ruin it for the rest of us who greatly appreciate the info you provide.

This really sucks SJU79 - the reason I never go near X, Discord or any other social media type sites. This great site is the closest I get to social media. Too many jerks out there otherwise.

Sports are supposed to be fun for the average "joe fan". Not always. More often than not it becomes an addiction with all the negatives associated with addictions. Then there are the addicted sports bettors: the worst of them all. It's kind of you to put yourself in harm's way, especially since you know all the perils.

1000%. A few #sjubb X posters are a disgrace and they're one reason I don't participate. I put my face out there elsewhere on the Internet and do deal with trolls on a daily basis, but the #sjubb community is just way too local and it's not as simple as blocking/muting accounts. Would rather not run into them at MSG or wherever, even knowing they're just Internet tough guys who make up a very small percent of the community.

I love this site and posters like 79 and others are a big reason I visit daily. This site is not nearly as toxic (thanks to the mods) and is also far more insightful. The VAST majority of us very much appreciate everything you tell us, it's fascinating to read and more exciting now than ever given how far our program has come.

I'm a big believer in message board mods keeping a light touch as a general rule, but if someone here DMed sju79 then took what he was told in a private conversation and broadcast it to the world on Discord, that's grounds for a ban IMHO. Major violation of trust.

The #sjubb gang has been a problem for quite some time. There are some clowns over there. I was off of X for the entirety of this season and it was wonderful

Sorry to hear this sju79. Frankly I am not even sure what some of it is. Discord!? I guess I’m old so I’ll have to consult my son as to what that even is. 🙂 To me SJU basketball is in the fun aisle of life. A diversion. In the heat of the moment it can get all of us but really it’s just another sport, another game. Long way of saying I appreciate your posts and for hope that you keep posting. Your passion for the team and basketball is awesome during the off-season and beyond.
