All high major freshmen have been screwed for 3 years. You think it’s any different at any other good program. The schools that play freshman ie Duke and Kentucky under Cal they wouldn’t be good enough to go to. They’ll develop and eventually play.

How about sophomores? Wilcher and Dunlap paid those freshman dues last year and you guys are jumping for joy they appear to be being recruited over.Freshman don’t play much in college with the covid extra year being around unless they’re a real bonafide star or play on a team full of them.
Wilcher is playing 20-25 minutes next year sort of regardless what happens. How about sophomores? Wilcher and Dunlap paid those freshman dues last year and you guys are jumping for joy they appear to be being recruited over.
I have no problem with that, to each his own; I just happen to disagree with the “business model” that has been created. No, I hate it!! I will not argue with anyone who embraces it, it is the new reality, I just will not.
Oh for sure. Also have to think there’s a bit of slow rolling going on in terms of portal signings just to keep the guys already in-house happy. Kinda dickish but wouldn’t surprise me if that’s a common practice. Next thing you know you’re playing time is cut in half with 5 days to decide to portal out.
Not if we keep recruiting seniors or grad students every year. They will be relatively inexperienced and untested juniors still seeing older more experienced guys coming in. They almost have to go to smaller conferences to get playing time and put themselves in portal after a year. You think it’s any different at any other good program. You are excused. We are all happy. But we also see this system is not sustainable. Agree that we have to play by the rules to win. Excited by prospects. But there will be casualties on the roster.Wilcher is playing 20-25 minutes next year sort of regardless what happens.
I’m 32 years old. I’ve been a diehard fan for the last 23 years. I will jump up and down for joy if our team is in position to win. This program has been dead in a ditch for the majority of my time following them, and then placed back there when it’s out. Excuse me for being happy about the program finally competing at the highest level.
Logen, I think Wilcher and Dunlap are seeing more playing time next year. In fact, I think Wilcher has the starting PG job UNLESS he doesn’t seize the opportunity. He’s gonna have to earn it but seems RP likes him but wants more from the kid. “Recruited over” (correct me if I’m wrong) suggests guys being pushed out. I don’t see that with these two.How about sophomores? Wilcher and Dunlap paid those freshman dues last year and you guys are jumping for joy they appear to be being recruited over.

Boo Hoo, I’ve been a fan a few decades longer than you’ve been alive. I made it plain I am not judging you or anyone else because I don’t give a damn how you or anyone else root. Frankly, you talk out of both sides of your mouth, you make a comment about freshman, I ask about them as sophomores and you come back with nonsense about how you’ve suffered as a fan. And if you describe a team that isn’t even a reality nor spent one second on the court together as “competing at the highest level”, you know even less basketball than I thought.Wilcher is playing 20-25 minutes next year sort of regardless what happens.
