Is Cliff becoming the poster boy for everything that’s wrong with college hoops today?
Cliff got his degree, played four years at one school, and now going to make more money than he probably ever will playing hoops. In a vacuum, I actually don't blame him and think it's fine.Is Cliff becoming the poster boy for everything that’s wrong with college hoops today?
Personally I believe that fans donating to NIL funds is very wrong and not what NIL was intended to mean in the first place. NIL stands for Name and Likeness as in advertisement. Now I understand the love that many of us as fans have for thus program and our desire to see it succeed but at what cost? If you are a poster who hates what’s happening to college hoops and then turn around and contribute to an NIL fund then you are part of the problem yourself. And when you donate to an NIL fund, do you really know where all the money is going to and what percent is actually going to the players?Which means we'll be asked to donate to the Pre-Pre-NIL funds. Makes complete sense to me.
I heard Yeshiva next week could not do this due to the holiday.Cliff visiting Wagner next Wed

Then don’t complain.Personally I believe that fans donating to NIL funds is very wrong and not what NIL was intended to mean in the first place. NIL stands for Name and Likeness as in advertisement. As I’ve stated in the past, I will not contribute one dime to any NIL fund for many reasons and will continue to donate to causes I find of greater value and for a greater good.
Sorry about this post…… please move this to the NIL thread.
I would say Storr fits into that category better
The Ivy league acceptance rate at all schools is about 10%. For athletes, the acceptance rate is about 85%. It points to everything wrong at all colleges.Cliff got his degree, played four years at one school, and now going to make more money than he probably ever will playing hoops. In a vacuum, I actually don't blame him and think it's fine.
I have more issues with teenagers going to four different high schools. That is abnormal.
This will go over well.Looks like no Scott, losing out to Oklahoma
Trilly and Vincewhy did a couple of SJUBB fan accounts get all hype last night? I saw Rumble in the Garden tweeting out white smoke and stuff and I thought something was happening haha
A bouquet of minutesI am not losing hope on us putting together a good roster. We will get our guys and Rick will do what he can to get the best out of them.
The thing that I cannot stop myself from thinking about, is the portal process on a whole, is rapidly changing before our eyes. I have no clue how Rick is handling that. At his age, it is not inconceivable to me that he is going through all this and thinking, "nah this ain't for me anymore"
We have seen other coaches tap out because they saw where this was going.
Side note - Glenn Taylor anyone? Didn't he say in his goodbye letter he would still consider SJU? Maybe we thought we were going to do a lot better in the portal, could Glenn be an option for a return if we send him a nice edible arrangement or something?
Actually if I and others don’t complain we become part of the problem as you are or anyone else who support this type of donation. NIL was not meant to get money from fan bases but rather from corporations. And if a school can’t come up with those sponsors, it does not belong in the game or at least not at this level under the current landscape. Then don’t complain.
