As an old oil and gas attorney, I know there are certain truths. When you get to a prospect early and believe in it, be decisive and buy up what you can. Once other folks get in the game, the price only increases and you wind up paying much more, even for mediocre prospects. For the Johnie's, they had a chance to wrap guys up early, but they did not do so for whatever reason. At this point, make a decision and overpay for who you want before the well runs dry.What’s the alternative?
