This should be interesting. Here are my player rankings thus far this season from best/most valuable on down. Curious what others' lists look like.

1. Zuby (I would be surprised if this isn't a unanimous pick except that this is red.fans so who the hell knows)
2. Kadary - has been the most consistent producer and contributor, warts and all.
3. RJ Luis. RJ giveth, RJ taketh away, but in most games he has been the second-most reliable offensive player. Also the most offensive player, sometimes.
4. Smith
5. Wilcher
6. Scott. Despite the shooting woes, does other winning things.
7. Glover. Lots to learn, but has provided bench shooting.
8. Dunlap. The inverse of Glover, does everything BUT shoot so far this year.
9. Vince.
10. Prey
11. Ayo
12. Liotopoulos
13. Maker

Here are my rankings

1. Zuby - no contest
2. RJ Luis - our most talented player who has had way more good games than bad ones.
3. Smith - the energizer bunny we need to put some zip in our game
4. Kadary - teams completely ignore him as shooting threat, admittedly a very good passer and rebounder
5. Wilcher - has shown real flashes and hoping he can become a consistent threat from three
6. Scott - real disappointment so far offensively; think Pitino has to make him more a part of offense and he needs to get out on break and get some easy baskets
7. Dunlap - smart player who doesn't hurt team when he's on the court and believe he will come back with his shot falling.
8. Glover. Lots of potential.
9. Prey - just prefer to see him on the court to Vince but would call 9 and 10 positions a push.
10. Vince
11. Ayo
12. Liotopoulos
13. Maker

I'd swap Smith and Kadary, Dunlap (can do more things) and Glover, and Prey and Vince.

Zuby the clear number 1. If he gets hurt we're f*cked.

Disagree with Kadary being the most consistent producer and contributor. That's Zuby with RJ #2. I'd drop Kadary to 4th behind RJ and Smith. Unless Pitino changes the offense to run it mostly through Kadary then his lack of shooting while playing off the ball really hinders the offense.

Scott > Wilcher. Scott gives us length and athleticism that can match up with a variety of different players that nobody else on the roster can. Wilcher has been flat out awful in every single close game we've had and still looks like he's not ready to compete at that level yet. Doesn't have nearly the defensive impact that Scott does to contribute if he isn't having a good offensive game.

Rest would be splitting hairs.

For Kadary I meant most consistent producer after Zuby, not overall.

I did think of doing it in tiers and I think it breaks into 3 or 4 tiers as you've outlined.

A bit surprised at the votes for Smith over Kadary - but that's why I thought this would be an interesting thread.

Thanks for jinxing him and the team. 🤣

Wow
We are watching different sport.
If not for his NIL and was a regular guy Richmond would be out of rotation.

Well, struggles and all Kadary is currently:

3rd in PPG (tied with Smith)
4th in RPG (a half rebound behind Luis and Smith)
2nd in APG (a half assist behind Smith)
2nd in steals (a half steal behind Smith)
2nd in blocks

Do you think that any current bench player is replacing that?

1. Zuby
2. Smith
3. Luis
4. Wilcher
5. Richmond
6. Scott
7. Vince
8. Glover
9./10. Dunlap, Prey

As deep as we thought our bench was going into the season, our starters are playing a lot of minutes. I took Wilcher over KR based on 1. Shooting and 2. On Court Passion.

I will do it this way based off performance and expectations:
Zuby A+
Luis B
Smith B
Wilcher B
Vince C+
Dunlap C-
Scott D
Richmond D-
Prey, Glover and the rest incomplete.

Pitino-D

He plays the most minutes
He is highly inefficient and possibly our worst defender

And looking at the "per 40 minutes" gives perspective too

Interestingly Glover is 2nd only to Luis in FG attempts !! Learning from best...😂

Yes, Smith. Khadary can't shoot, period. Also, the next loose 50/50 ball he dives on the floor for will be his first. Finally, what was Posh Alexander's biggest criticism on this board? Posh couldn't shoot either and he's long gone. What your stats don't reflect is Khadary is playing 31 minutes a game and his burn time is stuffing his stats.

No, but I see no reason not to increase Wilcher's minutes.

Zuby
Luis
Smith
Wilcher
Richmond
Scott
Vince
Dunlap is an incomplete but was underperforming when healthy.
Rest basically inconsequential

Think KR being overrated by many based solely as a compiler, but yo the eye test he’s a failure. Plus what he doesn’t give versus what he’s depended on for is most damaging.

Vince I think is underrated in some respects. Not much expected but provides serviceable minutes.

Basic problem is that 2-6 have been mostly underwhelming to a more or lesser degree, compared to what’s been hoped for.
