Reading between lines, I interpreted that whole thing as "Bryce has been good, but he's focused on fitting in and we want him to stand out." Bryce himself yesterday said he'd be fine coming off the bench. Too selfless.So Pitino will be putting Hopkins' brain a blender this season? That would not have been my first guess.
