Sir'Dominic Pointer of St. John's to the Cavs at No. 53. Storm fans, you've got to love that. #sjubb

He came in with potential and put in the work it takes to get drafted. While his two team mates who received more NBA talk are now big question marks.

Congrats to Dom for having the smarts and character it takes to receive this recognition.

Well done

Can't wait for the alley-oop dunk by Dom - from a pass by Lebron on the break.

Congrats Dom! Keep on working on it!

This is great news and such a great story for Sir Dom. I agree with all the comments on how much fun he is to watch, and if he can make it with the Cavs, I will follow closely. What a year he had.

Great! Now I have an NBA team I can follow.

Still an uphill battle for certain, but what an ascent for Dom since the beginning of last season.

As much as some would like not to, have to give Lavin a big assist on this one. If he didn't implement a running transition game, and allowed Dom to lead the charge upcourt, there is little chance he would have had anything close to the senior season and ensuing recognition he received. If we walked the ball upcourt, SJU was likely not a tourney team.

Congrats Sir Dom!!!!
One of the most exciting players to ever wear a Redmen uniform!
Wish him all the best!
Missing piece to Cavs championship puzzle!

Congrats Dom, only bad part was they were in commerical and we didn't hear it called. Prior to last season he was probably the 3rd or 4th most likely to get drafted after this season behind Jordan, Chris, and D'lo. Worked hard and improved. Awesome! And he is already on the All- Nba name team

Way to go Dom! He'll give Lebron fits in practice everyday. Will have that turd wanting to retire before training camp finishes.

How about thank g-d Jakaar quit school, Orlando Sanchez ( a waste of a ship ) ran out of eligibility as all he did was take minutes away from Dom and played to showcase his limited talent, and 2/3 of Lavin's 2015 recruiting class were academically ineligible so Dom got to play the 4 and not 30 feet away from the basket. At the 4 his talents were highlighted and exposed.
Lavin did everything to hinder this kid's career after a successful freshman season under Coach Dunlap.
What is nice to see is a kid who was vilified on this board for two years and a player posters hoped would transfer now being looked upon so favourably.
Dom is a great kid, who always worked hard, played injured, never complained, was friendly to young kids who supported the program and went out of his way to play bball with them, got a degree, never gave the program a moment of grief, and was a superb representative of St. John's.
I wish him all the best in his future endeavors and hope he sticks in the league for a long time.

I know you are excited by Dom but REALLY??????

Give 5 of those turds on my team anytime and I will win a championship.
