Well, I wanted Tim Cluess. Obviously, that would not have worked. I didn't want Pitino, but might have been wrong on that.

The name I started bringing up last year was Kyle Neptune, and Nova wasted no time in snatching him up.

I keep going back to Mark Schmidt and King Rice. I generally lean towards the successful mid-major coach. While nothing's guaranteed, that's generally proven to be the best path to success, in terms of realistic coaching hires.

Fair enough. Obviously there is no guarantee a successful mid major coach could come here and have major success. But you never know really.

I hope they make the big dance but it may just be wishful thinking or should I say praying. Think about this how many teams that ply Anderson's 40 minutes of hell have ever reached the final 4. I can't think of one. I think he should go see Looie and maybe get a few plays into the program to mix it up with his run and gun

Well, aside from the fact that you seem to have forgotten all about Arkansas, how many schools that don't play 40 minutes of hell have made the Final Four? There's hundreds that haven't done anything.

(UNLV also ran teams ragged on offense and defense, and I remember them pushing the pace for whole games.)

Those teams played in the 90’s different game today.
 
As long as they give 100% effort, which I believe they will, I’m comfortable calling it a successful season. We’ll see if the effort translates in wins, but I think with that effort we’ll be on the plus side.
 
Quite frankly we aren't replacing coach with anyone who will be a long term solution.

Unfortunately we are a stepping stone school...

Also sorta proves my point that we ain't getting better than CMA. If you think some up and coming coach will come you smoking the greener grass that we will never see.
