@Seton Hall, Tue., Jan. 16, 8:30p, FS-1

I remember getting out the Roc a few years back right after a RHCP Concert. Luckily, I missed people being curb stomped and robbed by the fine folks of Newark. Wasn’t looking to give away now.
Been to hockey, hoops and concerts at the Rock. The safest place in NJ is the three block radius around the Rock on event nights. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a cop. The Newark residents you're referring to won't come within a country mile of the place on those nights.

Early high emotions opening 2-3 stanzas and then lead is taken or grows when our depth breaks them down w about 5 left in the 1st half. It teeters and then we open it up in the heart of the 2nd half.

Taylor gets back in the fold he’s the perfect matchup for Dre Davis.

Soriano career high. Will have a monster game on Bediako and no one behind him.

Win by 10 or 20 depends on how much Kadary and Dawes are limited.

Hopping on the George w my father and 2 brothers- have traveled to Newark 3X without tasting victory, most recently the LJF/Michael Stephens robbery in 2018-

That all changes tonight.

A conservative 84-72 prediction Johnnies 13-5 5-2 and buckle up for Saturday.

If the refs allow it, it's a road game so there's a chance they'll screw us again.
Maybe it’s just me, but I really don’t see us getting home cooking at MSG/CA. Seems like whenever we’re drawing more fouls the refs make it a point to make the differential closer. Someone posted our luck factor is like 158th & Hall is like 50th (1 is the luckiest). I really feel like Hall wins 99% of close games plus they got that insanely lucky call against us we all remember. They’re a weird team, because the eye test shows a bubble kind of team (they play sloppy) but they have won 4 straight by 6 or less. You’d think law of averages crash them back to earth.

Sick of Hall doing well while we stunk under Mullin & CMA. Was hoping they’d fall off with poor NIL & new coach. Just have gut feeling they’re due to start losing some of these tight ones. I think they’re good not great.

All set with my old school hoodie as we try to beat my Alma mater at the Rock. Never an easy place to play, will never forget that in bounds play with LJ Fig that the refs then hosed us out of a victory .

Not that the answer was ever in doubt, but it’s clear who bleeds St. John’s Red instead of Pirate Blue. 👏

Only because Mike was asking and if I am way off I wont post thread spreads again, I am posting what I think this goes to.

It is tough to predict threads before game starts as we all know more posts with losses and bad play etc but factoring in a few things I think this thread will be 53 pages but now factoring in some extra wusu post this thread goes to 58 pages.

My wife just asked if she should have her friends over tonight for a get together. I told her sure, as long as she didn’t mind loud cheering and occasional obscenities that could get frequent depending on how the game goes. They just made plans to go to someone else’s house. 😂😎

I would be stunned if we are even 50-50 with Seton Hall fans tonight
Zach said it would be 60-40 seton hall fans Which I still think is probably giving our fanbase a little too much credit.

I mean we’ll see but I went to a SHU/SJU game at the Prudential a couple years ago and the split was like 85/15 seton hall fans with ease

Pru or Rock just does not have the aura of the Garden.

I'd just as soon play them at Walsh Gym and win by 20 like a few years ago.

I know a certain poster who went to the red school on the other side of the river for Undergrad and then went to the blue school on THAT side of the river for law school; we tease him that he secretly roots for the Pirates. {He doesn't and will be there tonight as 114's Proxy rooting us home to a victory}. DEATH OF A PIRATE {TONIGHT!}
