Smith was 0 for 5, all open shots and layups.
1 assist and 2 rebounds in 11 m8 utes. Not bad, not much either way really.
he is in control of thenteam whem out there, which is why he is so valuable.
He is a great player and in a key game, You have to play him.
I understand why coaches think he should play if he can.
I rarely disagree with Pitino and staff coaching decisions…almost never.
This time I do. It is no longer a key game. He isnt doing well. As of yesterday, Pitino thought he likely wouldnt play.
We have critical games upcoming where his leadership is essential to our chances.
He can sit for the second half. I dont think it is silly or presumptuous to suggest that would be the prudent decision.
The beauty of being fans is we can disagree with each other, even on small decisions.

I agree wholeheartedly Redmaninalbany. The only thing I will say is that if Smith plays in this second half then we have to assume that he’s in no danger of hurting himself further etc. Otherwise, why would they play him. It would be a total dereliction of duty by the staff to do that.
