Seton Hall (MSG), Sat., Mar. 1, 2:15p, CBS

Agree, Sim has talent, but needs to mature. He will be a junior next year and one could expect him to be a leader and role model to others.
This. Seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He’s very emotional on the court and that mishap at the end definitely annoyed RP. I think he’s just going through a funk, which happens and has happened with others this year. Hopefully he gets right because we need him.

Why shoot a 3 Sim? Why lose focus and cause a turnover? Our own Al Maguire always said at the end of the game with a lead that “the clock is your enemy “. Sim doesn’t get it. I love his athleticism and detest his lack of understanding of the nuances of the game. I think that CRP has moved on, and only the post season can save his career here. It truly pains me to say this because I always root for him. He seems so talented and so likable.

No analytical comment on the game, other than it is a long season with peaks and valleys and great seasons are realized and achieved when you continue to win when in a valley; that’s what happened twice this week.
It was the first game I attended in person in about a decade and both my grandchildren had an absolutely fabulous time, therefore, so did I.
So all congrats to the team, they truly earned this championship and on to Marquette. As Pitino said in the post game, this week is important to get back to the peaks so I expect that game to be taken seriously.
I lied about no comment because there is just one, I don’t for the life of me understand why Prey is now getting less time, especially today with Scott out.

I wouldn’t play Zuby Aaron RJ Kadary or Deivon much at all v. Marquette.
Why? Aaron was stretching out on the floor with a trainer pregame and was wearing compression leg sleeves on BOTH legs today. Kadary and RJ have groin issues. Deivon was rubbing his right shoulder towards the end of the game. Zuby took a beating today and was also limping.
Play Lefty Prey Ayo Vince Sim and J Cole the majority, if not all of the minutes. The game is meaningless. Go Johnnies. It’s all about the BE and NCAA tournaments.
One last thing is that Ayo played great today. He is now integral to our post season success.

When not having a good game, he tries to get it all back with one play which leads to the end of game craziness with him.

All I have to say is that we are lucky to be witnessing St. John's basketball history.
Perhaps our Johnny Angels are playing a role in this special season.
Thank you to Paul Massel, Lou Carnesecca and all those that are looking down on our program, coaches, players and fans.♥️

Prediction--Sim does not return next year. He looks unhappy, disgruntled, and out of sorts. I hope I am wrong.
My fear as well. Would really like him back.
Used to have those feeling about losing certain players but following another team with a great coach learned not to worry about who you lose because he would replace guys who left with an even better player. Trust Rick to get what he needs to build a real good roster for next year. BTW don't think you can read body language by Sim today to read anything into it or draw conclusions. He had a rough game so understandable if he had his moments of showing frustrations as that is his want anyway.

Sim had a bad game but that’s not the problem. Taking that shot when the game is still on the line and the clock is your main opponent shows a complete lack of understanding smart basketball.
How Pitino can put him on the floor in crunch time is questionable.
