I'm working all night tonight and tomorrow night too.. Will be sleeping but might need to catch some of the game regardless.
As far as Seton Hall goes, their three main stat sheet guys who are making any hay in the Big East statistically are Gibbs, Delgado and Whitehead, and Whitehead is out. Mobley isn't bad either some games and disappears in others. As some had mentioned Delgado, sure he can hit the boards and is number 2 in the conference in rebounds to this point. The problem is he will be flanked by #3 in the conference Obekpa, #4 Sir'Dom, #10 D'Lo and SJU which is the best defensive rebounding team in the conference. We have done a tremendous job improving on the glass,me specially Obekpa and Dom.
Gibbs is fantastic, but he will have an issue without Whitehead who has been the beneficiary of most of Gibbs' assists. Besides Gibbs, the Hall is last in the conference in A/TO ratio which is tough against a team that steals it as well as we do.
seton Hall has count them ONE player entering the game tomorrow averaging double digits in scoring in Sterling Gibbs. Keep sterling from killing us and check Delgado and we win handily. In addition, their three pont shooting percentages are heavily buoyed by Sterling Gibbs 50+% number. Aside from him, Sina and mobley shooting relatively well, but Sina might have his hands full finding shots against our big athletic guards alain Cooney.
A few other things the Seton Hall fans don't know:
- Joey Delarosa will be more irritating than they realize on post defense. He will buy Obekpa time, fouls and plays some gritty post defense. He's big and can potentially annoy them inside.
-our depth isn't as terrible as it seems on paper. We don't tire readily and stil have a few guys like Balamou, HDR, jones etc that can give us minutes.
- they think throwing a zone at us will make us chuck up threes all day, but it hasn't this year at all. Hasn't even phased us because we are passing a ton better and penetrating a ton better. Even Cuse's Zone at the dome didn't bother us.
- they think they will win with three point shooting, and they may be right, but we don't let opponents shoot too well from out there. Even teams that shoot very well out there. We have been running our zones very well this season.
