Warm-ups are over, Pirates less than 72 hours away.

What got us to 11-1 is: stellar D, different guys stepping up each game (we are not just D'Lo plus four others) and Coach pushing the right buttons. Cannot discount the experience / fire that the Seniors have, as well as the overall chemistry / comradery. We keep cooking with this recipe and we will do very well in the BE.

Win against the Hall on the road and we send a message to the rest of the conference.
 
Are folks from the tri-state area going to the Wednesday game. I'm looking to buy 3 tickets, but before I pull the trigger, I wanted to to know what section most of the Redmen community in attendance plan on sitting so that I can do my part and cheer loudly for our team.

A 1-0 start in Big East play would put a nice bow on 2014.

I am going to be in section 16 with a group of 16 SJU fans. Rows 13 & 14
 
For someone that's going to be stuck at work on that day.... anyway to watch the game on-line? I didn't see anything on-line in regards to this.
 
I'll be there with my Dad. Excited for the start of the Big East!
 
Thoughts on spread for wednesday? Taking into conside ration the whitehead injury, id guess SJU giving 3.5 points.

I will be in section 22 row 6 with three buddies of mine all St. Johns fans. In fact my buddy Larry pitched for St. Johns from 1969 to 1973.

About 90% of hall fAns think they win this, but they as deranged if not more than us...

I say 70-58 SJU. I think the guys know this is a huge game and will have the defensive intensity cranked.

My bold (and hopefully accurate) prediction: SJU 62 - 55 Pirates. Sir'Dom to wreak havoc.
 
I'll be making the trek to the game from Long Island. Buddy's company has a suite at Prudential, and that was enough to convince the boss at home to let me go.

That is about what I was thinking. What I am looking at early is the rebounding. We looked ferocious in a few games - which was totally not the case the past few seasons. It kind of sets the tone for us. If our guys are aggressive on the boards it tells me they are in the game. Gibbs to me is a fantastic and underrated ball player. He's kind of ideal with the young talent. Crafty, skilled and experienced without the major ego. But as a team they are sort of St. John's Lite right now.

At least 50% of rebounding is desire, and right now our guys want the ball - period. In fact they appear to want it all, and are doing everything possible to try to attain that.
 
SHU folks have two separate threads for this game. Seems many over think we are very overrated and are not deserving of a 15 ranking.
