Seton Hall - 2nd Game

Guys will turn up the D and get some t/o's and run outs. Get'em on the run and the boarding will get better. The Hall getting to play to close to the hoop. That will stop. It's blood and guts time.
 
Lavin finished the half with both Albe and O on the court.
I think that may have helped close the rebounding gap a bit.
We really will need O for most of the second half to be on the court seems.
He seemed healthy enough to defend underneath and if we guards can run without him on offense that will be fine. He can catch up if we don't have a fast break basket.

Balamou was ballin and he and Alibegovic were giving us + minutes....we're tough to beat when that happens. Balamou is playing like he did as a frosh...doesn't look timid. Great sign.

Dom...wow. That block was insane. Great game so far.

They are keeping Delgado from dominating on the glass. A couple of bone head miscues and some bad missed calls by the zebras or this thing would be at a ten point lead.

Whitehead is an AWFUL teammate. I would never be able to play with a kid like that and I'd never want to coach him. Almost every shot he took was a forced, selfish shot. I don't care about the potential or the talent, give me both Delgado and Carrington over him.
 
Also, what a beautiful play out of the under 4:00 timeout...Phil driving baseline and finding Pointer one the cut.

Let's get Alibegovic some touches down in the paint. He had a nice pass out that led to a wide open three by Greene on a touch pass from Harrison.
 
Agree 100% on Whitehead. He has Jordan's skill level but
also Jordan's worst "it is about me" moments three times as often.
 
You just can't play like this with an experienced team supposedly fighting for a tournament spot; sorry to all you cheerleaders. We may very well win I get that and everything but come on, this is just terrible, terrible basketball.
 
Frustrating that every time we get a few points ahead, we make a turnover or a dumb foul or get a questionable call against us

With their big guy sitting with four fouls, the next six or seven minutes will be our great chance to put this game in hand.

Yeah right, that still doesn't change the wat we are playing. Like I've told you before I comment on what I see not what I hope happens. I never said we won't win but that doesn't change the uninspired, uneven, ragged display to date.

You are a clown. There is nothing about this game from either side that is uninspired. Both teams are busting their asses. Are f*cking kidding? The one thing not up for debate for either team tonight is hustle/inspiration. Wow, you are a jaded, negative man.
 
What happened on that last play with Pointer? Did he lose it or was it knocked out?
I guess it doesn't matter, the ref says the former.
