If these are really "secret" scrimmages, why are they publicized?
Am I missing something here?
This weekend, as per Jeff Goodman:

Pitt - Nova
Nebraska - Iowa St
S Carolina - Va Tech
Oklahoma - Oregon
Marquette - Dayton
Wake - Maryland
Xavier - Georgia
Cincinnati - Indiana St
Harvard - URI
UNC - Memphis
Baylor - Gonzaga

They are not supposed to be publicized. Goodman did his homework WRT these.

EDIT: I think the fact that these games are taking place can be reported on. How the scrimmages went (ie, who won) can not.

I think the "secret" part is because they are not open to the public

Nor are the scores officially kept. Not sure if they actually play two 20 minut s or break them up into quarters and possibly lasting more than 40 minutes.

Apparently the scores are officially kept
Many scores have been cited online

There is a new rule this year, allowing the results to be published.

Games are not supposed to be known about beforehand, but Goodman usually gets it out there.

Saturday should be quite a test against a very good Rhode Island team. There will be a lot of Italian trash talk with Nicola Akele, Mussini and Alibegovic. ;)

Per Zach B
The St. John's-Rhode Island scrimmage is tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Queens

Per Rothstein
St. John's guard Malik Ellison (elbow) has been fully cleared, per a source. Expected to ready for opener next Friday. #SJUBB

I think I'm going with the theory floated here that Jack is really a middle-aged man. Went into hiding after the walls started to close in on his story about becoming a St. John's student.

Did you notice he and Slice disappeared around the time?

I always wondered that as well. Did anyone ever meet him in person at any of the games he allegedly attended?

Jack Williams is a pseudonym. His first name is John but his last name is not Williams. Here is a picture of him at a St. John's game:

At least w the previous poster Joe 3, he would show a picture of him w DLO at a soccer game. If you think of all the enthusiasm Jack Williams had as a poster , he would be raving about his experience at midnight madness or the scrimmage if he was a real student.
