Well we have hit the halfway point of conference play at 3-6. The losses to Providence and at DePaul standout to me as games we could/should have won (at 5-4 we would have been in position to realistically finish 11-7). It certainly appears now that we are playing much better than earlier in the season and should have a good second half. Normally 6-3 would be a good way to finish conference play. However digging out from the deep hole that we are in may make a fantastic finish necessary in order for us to have a shot at the tournament. (Of course there is always the chance to win the Big East tournament.)
Here are the remaining games on our schedule (see below). Four of our five home games are against teams that have already beaten us. Of our four remaining road games we are likely to be underdogs in at least three of those games. That all being said we are very capable of winning any of these nine games if we play at our best. Here is hoping that we can rise to the occasion and get on a run to have a great finish.
2/4 At Providence
2/9 Vs. Creighton
2/13 At Seton Hall
2/16 Vs. Georgetown
2/18 Vs. Butler
2/22 At Villanova
2/25 Vs. Xavier
3/2 Vs. Depaul
3/8 At Marquette
