I know the goal is to raise revenue, and that increased sponsorships are important, but money fans and alums donate get nothing in return but a 2x or 4x points. Corporations use sponsorship and venue ads to boost sales - they are getting something in return. A $200,000 commitment in sponsorships bumps ahead of 95% of STHs and ahead of most donors STHs. I dont mind them getting tix but an alum donating 25, 50, or 100k or more is a significant donor but could get bumped by a one year sponsor who paid more in ads but had no tix prior. Sitting in those seats will be few people who bleed Johnny red the way we do.
I am not incensed over that but it doesn't sit well with me. Not thinking selfishly here. I'm happy with my seats tho really should have had better chouces available that were long gone by Monday a.m.
