It's a blind bidding basicallyFrom outside look, do feel it's odd giving people time window to increase their position by donating more and no guarantee they actually move up if others do same. A bit like trying to climb a greasy pole.
I believe you can have a conversation such as how far up the list will a $xx donation get me. They can't assign you a sest based on a donation but when they hit your priority ranking in sequential order can tell you what's available. From outside look, do feel it's odd giving people time window to increase their position by donating more and no guarantee they actually move up if others do same. Yes, but that convo would only be as current as that convo. You may decide to donate more thinking you've moved up but then someone else does the same and passes. Unlikely to happen much but I'd be weary.I believe you can have a conversation such as how far up the list will a $xx donation get me. Actually a donation where you get something of value by irs rules reduce the deductability of the donation.
No! I have 3 seats as a STH and I contribute a minimal amount to the Red & White Club! As a retired person I can’t to more than that!Lol, I already sit pretty far back so not worried about the reseat and I wish I had the money to make a dent in NIL but alas.
Also, has anyone actually donated more money bc of this? They say that’s the purpose, but I haven’t seen anyone suggest they’re making a gift to increase their point total
I believe that is the exact purpose of this exercise.... a 2 month window to get people to Donate...You may decide to donate more thinking you've moved up but then someone else does the same and passes....
Third time's a charmThere will be another points revision. Just a heads up
Even though I have been known not* to reside in my 114 seats... i will say- the sightline (row 7) is not bad at all... and the seating chart of MSG makes it look worse
Third time's a charm
It makes sense there is a percentile* revision if people are Donating...I believe they are trying to get it right in earnest. The expedient response to my questions was much appreciated. They’ll work it out shortly
and perhaps bid each other up, like an Auction, lolI believe that is the exact purpose of this exercise.... a 2 month window to get people to Donate
Wait!! Are you trying to say they are trying to monetize the success of men's basketball by leveraging the only chip they have?I believe that is the exact purpose of this exercise.... a 2 month window to get people to Donate
Understand the desire to monetize...my concern was people donating considwrsbly more and not necessarily improving their standing on seat location.Wait!! Are you trying to say they are trying to monetize the success of men's basketball by leveraging the only chip they have?
Preposterous!!![]()
Sure but you need to have your ducks in a row before you go out with something as polarizing as this. I get it mistakes happen but this was arguably the safest bet to get rich in the world if I had the chance.I believe they are trying to get it right in earnest. These aren't exactly superbowl tix. For more than 20 years some folks have had amazing seats for mostly mediocre teams paying just for the seats while donors sat behind them. If keeping a seat in an amazing location is important and that person can afford it, they can drcide to make a tax deductible charitable donation and depending on how much can improve or move to slightly worse seats. If you choose not to or cannot donate you move to whatever is available in priority order. I can accept that for me.Yes, but that convo would only be as current as that convo. You may decide to donate more thinking you've moved up but then someone else does the same and passes. Unlikely to happen much but I'd be weary.
Now that's a blast from the Baldi past! The world needs dig ditchers too.
Sounds like school is trying to be helpful and responsive after the initial botch up - kudos to them.To provide my friends here some transparency- heard back promptly from the Ticket office- kudos to them- with the needed $ Donations to move up to different tiers... (again, subject to change based on donations over the next month)
*Note: I am only a 2yr STH- storm marketing montlhy donor- and think i have bought some Golf 4somes auctioned off at the outings the past couple summers that might have counted towards my ~6k Priority Points....
Currently i am in the 60-65% range
To move to Top 50% - I need to donate 1200$ to Mens Bball or R/W Club
Top 30 - 6400$
Top 25 - 8900$
Top 10 - 70k$
Top 5 - 210k$
Kudos to those in that top 5% - appreciate your generosity over the years! And to the New big time $ men.... keep it up! lol
I keep reminding them that its great to pay close attention to the huge donors but if you treat the smallest donors well a few may become huge donors as their resources grow.To provide my friends here some transparency- heard back promptly from the Ticket office- kudos to them- with the needed $ Donations to move up to different tiers...
