Season Tickets

Not positive but I believe the 5,500 Kull referenced includes MSG only STH. If that is the case full STH should carry more weight than MSG only imo.

Indeed, as the two packages are apples and oranges.

One is a full season ticket package to all home games, which costs more. The other is exclusively for MSG, and costs less.

There is no logical reason why partial STHs would earn as much as a full STHs, though absolutely nothing would surprise me.

I agree 100 %. It’s not to long ago where we were lucky to get 5 MSG games. One year I think we had only 3.
How that would equal full time STH would not really be logical .

if you guys up there in Priority points start hearing this week... or whenever... don't mind sharing the $ of the tickets in different sections... much appreciated.

Curious...

I think if msg only pkgs get priority points, then its a matter of total points gained through donations. There are some huge donors who sit on the floor at MSG who don't get CA tickets.

Since you only earn 100 points per year, and points earned as a STH only count for consecutive seasons as a STH it doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

If all your points are from season tix, no matter full or MSG partial pkgs, you're not in great shape. 25 years as a STH get you 2500 points. However, someone attending only a few paid athletic department events over the years will have more points.

Bottom line: Even a 5-10k donation will allow most folks to keep their seat locations until the next reseating, which vould be 20 years.

Note: Folks in the new seatbacks at CA will pay considerably more for those seats, as much as seatbacks on the other side of the court.

Since we are now watching professional basketball with a reported payroll of 7-9 million, I'm expecting an increase in ticket prices. The only thing keeping prices reasonable is the desire to sell more msg pacckages.

This is exactly the fear I have with my seats. I don't have the spare change to attend events and even donate much. The tickets alone are over budget

I hope our 50 years is good enough to keep our seats...We've donated enough just by watching this team the last 20 years....
I also have seats for decades since i was an undergrad so I sympathize with you. I guess one way of looking at it is that watching a top 5 team from a worse location is worth more than sitting behind the bench during the Norm years.

Whatever we discuss here won't move the needle one way or another in amy event.

Does the "Seat Contribution" included in prior years season ticket subscriptions (ex: $250 Gold, $150 Silver) earn points?

Overall, I advise people to ask for the calculation of how their point totals were derived and verify it with your own information. History with SJUs accuracy on these matters is not on their side.
Agree 100%.

Will people be allowed to make donations after the points “standings” are released? I’m trying to gauge how much of a moving target this will be.

Going back to the mid 80's I did as many as up to 8 seats for all the Garden games directly from the Garden for many years, before reducing the number and joining R&W and buying through the school.

Pre-covid I withdrew from the Red White club and dropped my Garden package, so I don't think any of the long-ago stuff will help me with these Points.

I have given to the University and Law School and Bread & Life separately from the Athletic Department, maybe that will help, dunno?

Bingo. I’m hopeful to stay where I’ve been the last few years at MSG, but if I get bumped to the 200s because of demand, all good because of the product on the floor and investment so many are making within and outside the school in basketball.

i sat 5 rows into the 200s for the Championship game... awesome seats... when not in the 100s (or courtside... ya kno...) only went up to the Bridge... first 10 rows of the 200s are solid seats
