San Francisco State

If someone wants to provide some commentary that would be great. I am at a volleyball tournament

Coach rotating the starting 5 plus Greene, pointer, gift, and hooper pretty fluidly.

Defensively we are really swarming and forcing turnovers. Not defending the 3 and extremely soft around hoop, especially given the opposition.

Sluggish in the half court but Harrison has hit shots and we've done a good job getting to e stripe. Look great in transition and have created a lot of those opportunities.

26-25 us with 6:30 to go. All in all about what you expect from first half of first exhibition.

37-35 us at the 4 minute tv.

We are turning it over like crazy...and sfst is exclusively playing zone applying marginal pressure. Tarik is mystified on the broadcast why we aren't getting the ball to the high post, which we've done once in 17 minutes.

We have only played man. Sfst has a guy with 14 already on 3/4 from 3.

Greene doing the best job penetrating the zone. Otherwise too much perimeter action and settling from everyone else.

41-40 us at half.

Not reading too much into what ultimately has very little meaning, but rather hysterical that that was the exact half we saw about 40 times last year.

Great defensive pressure and transition o. Shooting about 50% from the line, given up 6 threes probably, and totally stalling in the half court. You didn't need to watCh this half if you saw us last season.

Why we wouldn't press a team like this, especially to see it in an exhibition, I have no idea.

Either we were playing a lot better in Europe, or the European Pro teams suck A...

Possibly, there is an answer to both of your comments.

Nevertheless, it's still way, way, too early for me to even bother about getting concerned.

haaaa yeah. .. I'm not concerned really.... just imagined more intensity on D and a better half court set. Reminds me of last year. Granted CO isn't playing so I think our D isn't as good without him. I think we pull away here in the second half though. We'll win 84-67..

I think the defense will get there. I was only able to catch the last 4 minutes of the half, so I missed what was taking place on defense throughout most of the half. Granted, I wasn't too cool what I witnessed on a handful of trips that I was able to watch. I agree, in regards to the defense being better with Obekpa in the game.

I'd also like to see us penetrate and get inside the teeth of San Fran State's defense in this half. I also believe we'll open it up in the 2nd half, and end up winning around or near the margin you posted.

Amidst the sloppy play, Jordan was a definitive bright spot. He knocked down a 3 on ball reversal completely in rhythm, and couldn't have looked smoother hitting a pull up from 12 in traffic. Both shots were bottoms.
