Rutgers Suspends Mike Rice

i think the school and some of the fans are tired of this act. unless you are bobby knight you have are going to lose your players if you constantly harass them

Just watch the sideline, he's a lunatic. One of the few coaches that could probably get T'd up in the first minute of a game. He takes the word intense to a new level.
 
uconn fans made a gallery of the many faces of jeremy lamb where every emotion is is him emotionless. for mike rice it would the crazy angry face. he has done that plenty of times during games. i suspect his suspension came from going over the line in practice.

Doesn't sound like borderline personality disorder to me. maybe explosive personality disorder, but more likely some bad role modeling received early and then never checked, until now.

And they didn't know this before they hired this wacko. No excuse, this behavior didn't just start at Rutgers.

Exactly, Jack. Seton Hall went with the low-key Kevin Willard after being burned (despite the warnings) by Gonzo. Rutgers knew Rice's history and decided he was worth the risk. After a good start, things haven't exactly worked out and they're not going to get any easier in the Big 10. This may just be laying the foundation for axing him if things continue to go south.
 
I finally stopped laughing long enough to post. Rice is theatre of the macbre. It was only a matter of time before he went overboard. If you look into his eyes, he can cause your face to peel off. Rutgers and Rice are perfect fod each other.
Screw them and their many years of losing in their new conference.

Agree: Goodbye and good riddance. They'll be Big 10 bottom-feeders in both football and basketball for years to come.
 
Read an article that said Rice threw basketballs at players' head during practices.

Hope his shooting percentage was as poor as his team's. (Not quite as creative as our own Fran, who, instead of throwing balls at players, grabbed his own to motivate them.)
