Rutgers Exhibition

Getting on the road in 40 minutes, can not wait to watch a disciplined, multi faceted offensive system that operates with purpose for the first time in about 20 years. More than anything else, a defense oriented team that actually hustles, not just characterizes themselves as a defensive team.
 
I know it will be hard for everyone (myself included) to control themselves but win or lose this is a “scrimmage” game. Players who might not see as much time, might see more time today etc. Also, RP is trying to meld this team together given all the new players. Rutgers is probably doing the same thing.

Of course, it does feel a lot like Christmas morning. The dawning of a new era is here and wow I am here for all of it.
 
Hope all my fellow Johnny fans who are able to attend enjoy their first look at Rick's guys against opposition. Since there's no streaming we are going to take in an afternoon movie. Will be eagerly checking in later to hear how things went.
 
I understand the excitement. Due to another commitment I will not be able to stay to the end (if it was a real game I would stay until the end or would have gotten rid of the tickets) but that just tells you my anticipation of going to get a glimpse of the team in a game situation.

That being said, I will temper my expectations as it is an exhibition with basically a totally new roster. So we have a lot of moving parts and the guys are still learning the system and about each other. But the excitement can’t be denied.
