Rothstein on Campus

That was in July. Wasn't sure if Pitino was serious or joking about needing to see if they have heating in Nov.

I realize there's still a month until games start and this team likely will take time to gel. I also realize Pitino doesn't need amazing players and can get a lot out of good players. That said, these are some pretty mild comments from Mr. Hyperbole (Not sure if the Red Storm have a great player, but they have several good ones. /// long-term potential of Simeon Wilcher /// etc.).

Between this and a lot of the impressions from practice, fans will hopefully be patient if we don't get off to a strong start. I'm not saying we'll lose to mid-majors or anything (highly doubt that), I'm just not sure if we'll beat the great teams right away.

These ideas are really starting to go off the rails. Waiting for someone to suggest playing a game on the moon if not Mars. 😜
I'd love a game on some air craft carrier, while in the Taiwan Strait,.
LOL could you see the expressions on the Chinese faces, they'll be really pissed.

"They're playing a freaking bball game on their carrier right in the strait? grrrrrrrrrrr .

Now that would really boil their blood .

It has a roof so time of year doesn't matter. So does Armstrong.
With Armstrong you can’t do it with roof it’s different it still gets windy inside even if roof is closed. Ashe is different. Also don’t think heat should be issue with the roof is closed that place is hot even during closing the roof

Ledlum has a legit chance to be the second or third leading scorer and I expect him to easily be our second leading rebounder, but we also have to remember that he’s going to look great in any intrasquad scrimmages because there is nobody to guard him.

We have 3 big men, and Joel and Zuby have to guard each other. So he going to go up against Drissa a lot — which isn’t a fair matchup — or a SF playing up.
Drissa has some dog in him, I remember the one game he got some minutes against Marquette he was holding his own on D and looked like the only one on the floor hustling trying to get a stop. Sure he won’t play much but I’m betting Pitino kept him around for this very reason to be a pain in the ass in practice.

Ayo the best matchup for him defensively.

On flip side of what you said, because of only 3 bigs he also spends quite a bit of time guarding the bigger centers, and he showed real well there maintaining his ground and using his strength.
I agree that Ayo is definitely the best matchup for him. I see Ayo as a 4/3 until his skills catch up. He’s still just a soph, though.

As a 5th year senior, Ledlum is set up to dominate a roster like this in practice.
