I realize there's still a month until games start and this team likely will take time to gel. I also realize Pitino doesn't need amazing players and can get a lot out of good players. That said, these are some pretty mild comments from Mr. Hyperbole (Not sure if the Red Storm have a great player, but they have several good ones. /// long-term potential of Simeon Wilcher /// etc.).

Between this and a lot of the impressions from practice, fans will hopefully be patient if we don't get off to a strong start. I'm not saying we'll lose to mid-majors or anything (highly doubt that), I'm just not sure if we'll beat the great teams right away.

Well I would ask when he talks about great players, does anyone think anyone on the team has a shot at being on a preseason all BE team besides Joel, and Simeon if there's an all frosh team? That might be his benchmark.
