RIP Coach Carnesecca

My last name is Moran, and Maven called me Moron.

Like I never heard that before, ever since the third grade, so he wasn't even being clever.

It was because in a thread about 1970's CHSAA BB I misstated the year my high school Nazareth won the NY City Championship, when I went back at him, he started na:mad:me calling, I wrote him off then and there.

Though never want something bad to happen to him.
Let's be honest here........it was Brother Russell at Nazareth who knicknamed you Mr. Moron.😜..........jk

Condolences to his loved ones.
Those are iconic photos of Lou.

It certainly was a nice tribute. I don't how many newer fans remember the Maven who produced a number of episodes of Inside the Big East back in the day.
He has had some bad luck of late ...... getting hit by car and now hospitalized after a fall. Prayers for you Maven.
Get well, Maven.

Lou Carnesecca tribute on Big East Rewind podcast with Billy Goodwin, Bill Wennington and Ron Stewart. Hosted by Chuck Everson and Sonny Spera

Thanks Ken. This is amazing. This is the first time Ive seen or heard from Goodwin since he left here and didn't know he lives in France (as does Stewart). I saw Bill W and Ron at the wake. I remember Everson at Nova and didn't realize he is a Brentwood guy and lifelong friend of Stewart. One of the best interviews about coach without question.

You’re welcome Sal.
Chuck and Sonny do a great job interviewing former players/coaches regarding old school Big East days. If you do a search on their past videos, you’ll find a sit down interview they did with Lou in his kitchen. Also other SJU interviews they’ve done include Walter Berry, Goodwin, Stewart, Shelton Jones, Willie Glass, Wennington, Jeff Allen, Billy Singleton, Matt Brust. All fantastic zoomcasts.
