There's a reason why Pitino is at Louisville. He said, when he came back to college, that he loves living in Kentucky. He owns race horses. He doesn't want to be in NYC. Even if we could afford to pay him what Louisville does, he wouldn't come. And we haven't even begun to talk about the quality of the program. It ain't happening, folks!

As far as Pitino coming here...why does his name keep coming up? It's as far fetched a possibility as I've seen in the many years I've followed this program.

The only ship in 2013 went to the highest ranked recruit to come to STJ in over 15 years. We all know 2014 was a bust. Already had a top 50 this year with more recruiting to be done.

Obvious to all, you need to recruit AND foster goodwill among the HS/AAU folks. Obvious. But will we hire a coach who's on top of this game. How could SJU for a decade plus alienate so many local movers and shakers? What were our coaches thinking? Someone please explain.
