Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

Gotta bring it hard, everyone.

Ian, don't take a back seat to no one, and that includes Zuby.
Everyone knows you're really good, stop being hesitant and just do what comes natural to you, just balling.

I'm predicting Ian's come out party in vegas, he's going to be aggressive and do what he needs to do.

Ian, I'm perfect with my predictions.

Don't ruin it.

Rick Pitino on Joson Sanon:

“ it was either Ian or Joson starting, we will go with Joson. They’re close in ability, both with terrific ability. They both should be great defensive players, I’m very high on their abilities.”

Ian Jackson on getting in a rhythm without knowing where he is in the lineup:

“I wouldn’t say it’s difficult, I come into every game with the same mindset no matter where I am in the lineup.”

From The Torch today

What will drive Rick really nuts and wear him out is having to recruit so called stars from AAU programs that coddle kids, inflate their egos and don’t ever stress the importance of defense.

In this free agency era it is rarely possible to achieve any continuity starting fresh each year. The tendency is to swing for a kid with a rep not proven worth as a basketball player.

To try to change that type player in one year is incredibly hard. A program like ISU may never win the Dance, but they get kids committed to working together and hard at both ends of court. I would take their results any day.

Because we don’t have a Kadary. Yet.
Please try Odih. He will defend with his life. And also try the Ghost. Nothing to lose.
No problems with Dillon Bryce Zuby and Sellers. Right now, Ian Joson and Dylan are not cutting it as starters.
It’s time for a change. Particularly against Iona and Harvard. Let’s go!!!! It’s not all doom and gloom. We have 4 tremendous players and a deep bench with Ayo and Ruben and also Joson and Ian.
We need Luca Brasi and a PG. Odih is Luca Brasi, our bad ass. Let’s also try the Ghost. All our PG needs to do is distribute defend and hit an open shot. Simple. No joke. It’s simple.
