Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

I say this to myself all the time as I'm driving my 13 year old all over the tri-state area for soccer games & practice :)
That is something the wife and I talk about missing, driving our daughter between MA and VA over the years for soccer league games and tournaments. The travel for our boys was not as extensive but we miss that too. Went much too fast.

Sage advice. One could say the same about life itself.
I have an hourglass that every morning I turnover on my desk at 745 am and it will last an hour roughly . All my assistants need to be in on time. This particular assistant never was but I’m not allowed to fire someone it has to go to HR. Bottom line he quit yesterday

Everyone has an hourglass in life.

If your hourglass last an hour roughly, you need a new hourglass. ;)

My hourglass broke when I retired. Now it’s a 24 hourglass and as long as I check off whatever is on my todo list for that day within 48 hours I am good.

I hear he was tired of his ne're-do-well boss. ;)

Thanks for the link Paultzman. The pieces need to learn how they fit. It’s only been 2 games.

I think Pitino is saying exactly how he wants pieces to fit togethe to anyone who will listen, ie, Hopkins needs to take the initiative, Sellers needs to be our main threat from 3, etc. We can almost envision the team he is telling us he wants to have—the team he built.

Rick sending a message:

Completely agree he is sending messages but I really hope Jackson is mentally tough enough to take what Pitino is giving because he is very hard on him specifically and I hope he doesn’t lose him. I sat behind the bench for the last two games on campus and he is constantly critiquing Jackson like no other player and complaining to his assistants about the mistakes Jackson makes. If we are going anywhere this year, Jackson will need to be integral so I hope this all works out sooner than later. I think Sanon will be fine and loved what I saw from Darling tonight.
He was noticeably the best all around player on the floor IMO. Hopefully he can be the PG we need and continues to grow.
